Zofenopril: ACE Inhibitor. It acts primarily on the suppression of the plasma renin-angiotensin aldosterone system thus decreasing plasma angiotensin II concentration, leading to decreased vasopressor activity and reduced aldosterone secretion.
Hydrochlorothiazide: Thiazide diuretic. It inhibits sodium reabsorption in distal renal tubules, resulting in increased excretion of water and of sodium, potassium and hydrogen ions.
