• Relief of spasms in GIT and GUT
    • Adults:
      • PO 10-20mg TDS/QID
      • IM 20mg repeated over 30 min as required. Max 100mg/day
    • 6-12 years:
      • PO/IV/IM 5-10mg TDS
    • 1-6 years:
      • PO 5mL TDS
      • IV/IM 5mg TDS
  • Bowel colic in palliative care (Off-label):
    • SC 60mg-300mg over 24 hours
  • Excessive respiratory secretions in palliative care (Off-label):
    • SC 20mg-120mg over 24 hours

Tablet: 10mg

Suspension: 5mg/5mL

Injection: 20mg/mL

To be taken without regard to food.

It acts to prevent acetylcholine-stimulated contraction of smooth muscle in the gastrointestinal tract.
