Nitazoxanide: Thiazolide antiprotozoal. Interferes with pyruvate:ferredoxin oxidoreductase (PFOR) enzyme-dependent electron transfer reaction essential to anaerobic energy metabolism.
Ofloxacin: Fluoroquinolone. It inhibits DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) and topoisomerase IV activity necessary bacterial DNA synthesis. This in turn promotes breakage of DNA strand.
