5-alpha-reductase inhibitor
It inhibits conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) via inhibition of 5-alpha-reductase types 1 and 2
- Impotence
- Decreased libido
- Decreased ejaculate volume
- Decreased sperm count
- Hypersensitivity to class/components
- Pregnancy
- Avoid handling drug in pregnant or potentially pregnant individuals
- Avoid blood donation during treatment and for at least 6 months after discontinuing
