• Immunization:
    • < 20 years:
      • IM 0.5ml at month 0, 1 and 6 for 3 total doses
    • >20 years:
      • IM 1ml at month 0, 1 and 6 for 3 total doses
    • Newborn with HbsAg-negative mother:
      • IM 0.5mL *1 at birth, 1-2 months and 6-18 months for 3 total doses
      • Start within 24 hours of birth if weight >2 kg, otherwise at 1 month or hospital discharge
    • Newborn with HbsAg-positive mother:
      • IM 0.5mL *1 at birth, 1-2 months and 6-18 months for 3 total doses
      • Start within 12 hours of birth
    • Newborn with HBsAg status unknown mother:
      • IM 0.5mL *1 at birth, 1-2 months and 6-18 months for 3 total doses
      • Start within 12 hours of birth

Injection: 10mcg /0.5mL

  • Do not give IV or intradermal
  • > 2 years: Administer in deltoid region
  • <2 years: Administer in anterolateral area of the thigh
