• Malignant hypercalcemia:
    • IV 4mg *1
    • Consider retreatment after >7 days
  • Solid tumor-associated bone metastases:
    • IV 4mg every 3-4 weeks
  • Multiple myeloma:
    • IV 4mg every 3-4 weeks
  • Osteogenesis imperfect in children (Off-label):
    • ≥1 year: IV 0.05mg/kg/dose every 6 months
    • Max: 4mg/dose

Injection: 4mg/5mL

  • In malignant hypercalcemia use:
    • Avoid invasive dental procedure
    • Maintain adequate hydration prior to treatment
  • Ensure appropriate hydration especially in patients on diuretics
  • Infuse >15 minutes
  • Infusion of solution must be completed within 24 hours of initial reconstitution
